Ondreeal has lived her whole life on the farm with her callous adoptive father. She longs to see the world and witness for herself the magical wonders that fill it–and she’ll soon get her wish, thrust into an adventure that carries her to heights she never dreamed possible, and to the depths of despair and loneliness. Ondreeal can never become the hero the world wants her to be.

“This was built around my study of medieval belief systems. At times when civilization retracted, holy buildings were havens for knowledge and learning. As you can see from the imagery and description, this is a patriarchal structure. It’s a belief system built around the power of wizards and their many abilities. They are perceived as divinely ordained. An extension of the God being worshipped, similar to royalty in many past societies. Like any religion, it seeks to understand and explain the reality of our daily lives and beyond. “
“This is the world sketched partially from Sir Francis’ memory when he traveled across the continent over 2000 years ago. The final map, drawn by one of Bastion’s artists, includes images of unknown creatures and warnings to anyone who dared to tread outside of the known lands.”
